STIGA Sports x TeXtreme®

STIGA Sports has elevated padel performance by integrating TeXtreme® into its next-generation rackets. The result is a new benchmark in responsiveness, stability, and power, trusted by professional athletes and dedicated players seeking a decisive advantage on the court.

Swedish Innovation Meeting the Next Generation of Carbon Performance

STIGA Sports has shaped racket sports for more than eighty years, moving from world championship table tennis blades to advanced rackets in tennis, badminton and pickleball. Innovation has always been central to the company’s identity, and the same ambition guided the move into padel in 2019.

The introduction of Cybershape in padel, a distinctive six edge racket geometry, quickly became a hallmark of STIGA Sport’s design philosophy and is today used by leading Swedish and Nordic players. This position reflects a clear vision, combining advanced material engineering with decades of elite performance expertise to give players a genuine competitive advantage on the court.

Material Innovation Strengthening STIGA Sport’s Competitive Edge

TeXtreme® adds a natural extension to STIGA Sport’s long standing commitment to engineering precision, feel and performance. The collaboration reinforces the company’s identity as a Swedish innovation leader while creating a powerful platform for the next generation of padel rackets. The material offers an exceptional balance of very low weight and high stiffness, allowing STIGA Sport’s engineers to fine tune responsiveness, stability and energy transfer in ways that directly elevate the playing experience. The partnership also reflects a shared belief in purposeful material development, where every design choice aims to enhance performance without compromising durability, feel or control. For STIGA Sports this is both a strategic advantage and a meaningful alignment of two Swedish companies committed to high performance product development.

The Essential Fibre Behind AXE 4’s Precision and Power

The AXE series has carved out a unique identity within STIGA Padel’s line up and has become one of the most popular racket families in the company’s history, making the development of AXE 4 a project that demanded a material capable of matching its ambition. Extensive testing under real match conditions pointed clearly toward TeXtreme®, which proved to be the only option capable of meeting STIGA Padel’s requirements for power, stability and precision. AXE 4 is designed for players at the very highest level, where every detail must contribute to winning points. TeXtreme® allows the construction of a racket with exceptional power transfer, sharp responsiveness and impressive control, all while maintaining outstanding structural reliability. The choice of material became a crucial factor in elevating the series to a level that aligns with the performance standards of the professionals who rely on it.

A New Level of Responsiveness and Structural Control

TeXtreme® offers notable advantages compared to traditional carbon materials. Its refined structure responds quickly at impact and enables precise control over flex behaviour and energy return. Stability increases during hard shots and finesse play benefits from a smoother and more predictable touch. The material also allows STIGA Padel to optimise the sweet spot and improve vibration behaviour to a degree that was not possible with earlier constructions. The result is a broader design freedom and a higher performance output for every gram of material incorporated into the racket.

Testing has revealed consistent gains in feeling, control, power and durability. A cleaner and more distinct ball impact improves touch and predictability, helping players make more confident decisions in fast exchanges. The enhanced stiffness channels more of the player’s energy directly into the ball, particularly noticeable in offensive shots such as overheads, bandejas and smashes. Durability and frame stability also increase, giving the racket a longer lasting and more dependable character which is essential for both elite and ambitious players who train extensively.

Two Shapes, One Performance Identity

The decision to offer AXE 4 in both Cybershape and a new hybrid shape reflects STIGA Sport’s aim to meet diverse player preferences while continuing to drive innovation. Cybershape provides an optimised hitting surface and exceptional stability, creating a direct and highly precise response. The hybrid shape offers a more traditional yet modern feel, balancing power, control and manoeuvrability. Both options share the same core and material composition, allowing players to choose the geometry that best matches their playing style without losing the performance qualities that define the AXE 4 series. This dual approach represents far more than a design choice, it signals STIGA Sport’s unwavering belief that performance should always be pushed further and that every player deserves equipment capable of changing the outcome. At the heart of that belief stands a legacy that has shaped the sport for generations and continues to set the standard for excellence.
